What is Bosco Incantato?

Bosco Incantato is an Arché Foundation project, run by volunteers whose main aim is to provide support to the parents of children in hospital. We offer a reception area where people can find information about the hospital services, resources in the hospital area (supermarkets, bars, shops and services) and accommodation facilities.

The service operates from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 1 pm/2 pm to 5 pm.

When are the health workers of the Bosco Incantato present?

For the months of July and August, the health workers will be present at the Bosco Incantato every morning from Monday to Friday.

How can I make an appointment with the health workers?

To make an appointment with the health workers you need to contact the volunteers at the Bosco Incantato, who will collect the necessary information and communicate it to the relevant health worker. The health worker will contact the family to arrange a meeting.

Are Bosco Incantato volunteers present in all departments?

Currently volunteers are present in the general paediatric department. For the near future we also plan to have volunteers in the paediatric surgery, trauma and intensive care departments.

At what times are the volunteers present?

Volunteers are present in the general paediatric department from 12 pm to 3 pm.
They are present at the Bosco Incantato from 9 am to 1 pm / 2 pm to 5 pm.

If I need to leave my child for a few hours, can I ask you for help?

Of course. Volunteers are at the hospital to help and support the children’s parents, and are also willing to agree to look after children to allow the parents to get away for a short period of time.

Is there a linguistic mediator at the hospital?

Yes. Among support activities for the users, Social Services runs the linguistic-cultural mediation service, which aims to improve the relationship and communication between foreign patients, their families and all medical and health professionals in the hospital.

Patients and/or their families can access the service directly or through the department staff or by making an appointment with the social worker.

Where is the Public Relations Office (URP) ?

The URP (Public Relations Office) is a service that aims to improve the quality of health services, providing users with involvement, reception and protection, facilitating access to information about activities and services, and periodically monitoring the degree of patient satisfaction.

Who do I contact for information about social services in the local area?

A social worker employed by the hospital Social Services responds to requests for assistance/advice presented by medical and nursing staff, patients and their families, health workers and volunteers from local services/associations.

  • Meetings to examine, define and address difficulties/emerging needs
  • Social secretariat: information/guidance for legal and bureaucratic procedures related to fosterage, adoptions, civil disability, and handicaps
  • Assumption of responsibility
  • Awareness raising, training and planning of interventions
  • Activation of the linguistic and cultural Mediation Service
